Searching = Funding
What if Coastal Pet Rescue earned a penny every time you searched the
Internet? Well, now we can!
GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that
donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its
users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and
it’s powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Just go to GoodSearch.com and be sure to enter Coastal Pet Rescue as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime!
Recycle for Pets
Instead of taking up space in landfills, now ink and toner cartridges
can be used to fund vet visits and a few good meals for homeless pets.
Businesses interested in participating need to contact Becky Soprych at
becky@coastalpetrescue.org or 912.351.4151 to arrange for cartridge pickup.
An Unexpected, Generous Donation
Coastal Pet Rescue received a generous donation of $1,077.00 from an
ebay seller in Kingsland, GA. A Toyota Land Cruiser was listed on ebay,
through Mission Fish. Ten percent of the profit was donated to Coastal Pet Rescue. Thank you wheaterzoo!
A Busy Summer
It has been a busy summer for Coastal Pet Rescue. Together we have
rescued 116 pets this year! 102 dogs and 22 cats are now in safe loving homes because of your support. For the safety of the pets, Coastal Pet Rescue will not be participating in any outdoor events for the remainder of the summer. Our next event will be the Cruise for the Critters on September 9th. Until that time, we will focus on promoting our pets for adoption and fundraising.
Feral Cat Program Update
The Milton Project trapped 27 feral cats this July, including a mass trapping of 13 in Statesboro and another mass trapping of 8 from a single colony. Beach towels and bath sheets are needed for the program. Please contact us if you have any to donate.
